ECA 108, 1946 (ECA stands for Electronic Corporation of America.) Tube complement: 6SA7GT mixer/oscillator, 6SF7 IF/detector, 6SL7GT audio phase inverter, (2) 25L6GT audio output, (2) 25Z5GT rectifier. Approximately 12-3/8 inches / 314 mm wide. This radio has a very unusual AC/DC circuit design, perhaps a study in how to make an "All American Seven" circuit. With its push-pull audio output stage and large speaker, this set's audio performance is very strong, with a powerful sound. I can imagine the original purchaser being quite proud of his "deluxe" plastic AC/DC radio. |
