Setchell Carlson 458R, 1950   Tube complement: 1R5 mixer/oscillator, 1T4 IF, 1U5 detector/first audio, 3V4 audio output. Approximately 7-1/8 inches / 18 cm wide. This AC-line-powered table radio uses one-volt tubes because they warm up almost instantly.  Since this radio is also an intercom, it needs to be immediately usable when the talk button on top is pressed.
