Webster-Chicago 81-1, 1948 Approximately 11 inches / 28 cm wide. Tube complement: 6SJ7 mic preamp, 6SN7 audio amplifier & audio rectifier for level indicator, 6V6 audio output (playback mode) & bias oscillator (record mode), 6X5 rectifier, 6E5 eye-tube level indicator.

The rear view, above, shows the filamentary recording wire threading through the groove in the magnetic head.  The view at right shows the unit with its stylin' microphone and stand.
